Mobilising the church for mission by forming fresh expressions

MSI – Mission Shaped Introduction

Rediscovering mission – for the local church (msi)

Our world and our lives change at an ever faster pace, but how does the church respond to this change? Are new ways of being church possible? If so, what might they look like?

Mission Shaped Intro is a resource that helps people in local congregations reconnect with the communities they are called to serve and to re-imagine the forms of church that are needed for the 21st century. It takes you on a creative and reflective journey looking at the need for new ways of being church.

We are currently contextualizing this for Southern Africa. It has had 6 modules as follows:

  • Rediscovering Mission and what that means for the Church
  • Changing World – Changing Church
  • Re-imagining Church – Community
  • Re-imagining Church – Worship
  • Re-imagining Church – Discipleship and Leadership
  • Where to from here?
